I’d been wanting to use this vintage faux fur jacket in a portrait session but haven’t yet had the chance. So when inspiration struck for a 40′s Hollywood kinda scene, I grabbed it outta the wardrobe and poured myself into it. Suck for me that it does up, but it’s tight across the back which makes me feel like Chris Farley doing his ‘fat guy in a little coat’ . I dare you not to sing that ditty now, I know you want to.

I’ve had my Black and white mojo running overtime of late. I’m reading Sally Mann’s Immediate Family again, because I just love her imagery so much and it motivates me to look at things differently. I’m getting back into Tumblr, which I’ve treated like a complete neglectorino due to it’s incredibly uncanny ability to make time vanish, as if into fat air. I get most caught up in posts of movie stars and performers from the 1940′s and 50′s. Beautiful black and whites of sound stage icons in their prime, oozing character in that classically glamorous way. Here’s hoping I managed to capture that vibe, what do you think?
- I dig vintage & kustom kulture, photography, fatshion, politics, Siamese cats, pickin' antiques and collectibles and the sweet tones of Mississippi's favourite son, Mr E. A. Presley. This is just a personal blog to chronicle my thoughts, inspirations, creations, mistakes and loves. Feel free to get in touch.
